Radio Browser Player
Bring internet radio streaming directly into your Q-SYS Core. Browse, search, and play stations from the free, community-maintained Radio Browser directory — tens of thousands of stations worldwide, no subscription, no account, and no extra hardware.
Key functionality:
- Up to four independent zones, each with its own stream, volume, and presets
- Search by name or country, or browse the directory's charts by genre
- 36 shared preset slots, recallable from the plugin, a UCI, or a third-party control system
- Auto Failover — automatically falls back through saved presets if a station drops or goes silent, so a dead stream never means a silent room
- Stream health and directory status feedback
- Simple playback controls, with crossfaded station switching for a clean handover
Built for reliable day-to-day commercial use: presets refresh their stream addresses automatically at every startup, and volume always resets to a safe level after a reboot. The plugin streams MP3 stations only, matching what Q-SYS's Media Stream Receiver decodes. Requires a Core with outbound internet access — like any network-dependent plugin, it won't stream or search in Designer emulation. No licence or activation required.
